This fabulous (built in 1996) 6 bedroom house is located on a 20 acres north-facing oceanfront property in the m
iddle of a larger approx. 10 sq. km. uninhabited forest on beautiful Galiano Island. Privacy is paramount. This unique Great Spot is perfect for a honeymoon; an ideal vacation spot for one family or for 2 or 3 families wishing to holiday together and it can also provide a perfect setting for corporate/yoga/meditation retreats…..and even for a small wedding.The house is surrounded by a large lawn area, a huge level grassy field suitable for sports and there is 470 ft. of shallow, pebbly and sandy beach. The two storey 2,700 sq. ft. house has an open layout plan for the dining area/reading room/large gourmet kitchen/ main living area which provides for plenty of space and beautiful ocean views. Built in a post and beam style with lots of glass, the main living areas have 10-14 ft. ceilings. The interior walls have been painted by Salt spring Island artist Lil Rumi
There is also a spacious 750 sq. ft. bachelor-style suite entirely separate from the main house, but attached by a covered walkway. This accommodation may be rented in conjunction with the main house and provides an additional and separate space -- perfect for grandparents who might wish to vacation with the family but have their own quarters to retire to, or for use as a separate area for children to watch movies, play games, sleep etc. The suite consists of a large open area containing a full kitchen with electric stove and fridge, 52” satellite TV, videos and futon couches and foamies for sleeping. House: Year Round: $800/nt. {up to 12 people}6 night minimum July, August and all holidays and long weekends
2 night minimum balance of the year
Suite: $300/nt. Year Round. {The rental of the suite is available only in conjunction with the rental of the house}.
Rates are subject to the following:
- 12% Harmonized Sales Tax [HST]
- If you choose the option of paying by credit card, 3% credit card fee only applies to amounts charged to your card
- $42 booking fee
For family groups [weddings, family reunions] of up to 20 guests - please inquire about rates for additional guests.
