Experience
a breathtaking 180 degree ocean, island and mountain view looking into the heart of Desolation Sound. This quality built post and beam home offers a stunning waterfront perspective. The house is solid, spacious, and comfortable with loads of natural light through large oceanside windows and french doors. Loons, seals, otters, mink, and of course eagles, are frequent visitors. Watch the sun and moon rise from behind the spectacular mountain peaks of the distant coastal range. Right on the property, discover a forest trail and enter a silent world of ferns and cedar groves. This well-appointed family home shares 12 beautiful acres of cedar, fir and alder forest plus 400 feet of private pebble beach with Wildfern Cottage. Cedar Moon is separated from Wildfern Cottage by a creek, the two dwellings are visually obscured from each other by a green belt of salmon berries and tall cedar trees. Families and friends wishing to vacation together, yet needing their own private retreats, will find this set-up ideal. The whole environment has a unique and magical beauty that will live on in your memory.

Renters' Comments:
"...Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. From the bald eagle who gree
ted us atop a tree next to the house when we arrived, to the phosphorescence in the water the night before we left...we had a wonderful time. We've enjoyed shrimp from Squirrel Cove, spring salmon from the ocean, and clams from the beach. This is the life! ....We've had a wonderful time...enjoyed your house very much -- it is perfect for the location. Book us now -- same time, next year....Thank you so much for a perfect week in your beautiful house. We especially enjoyed the fantastic ocean and mountain views, the relaxing atmosphere, the opportunity to watch dolphins play in their natural habitat, the peace, and the fishing trips. Catching a big salmon in the first hour of fishing here, was for Christopher, definitely the most memorable part of this vacation...may many more guests appreciate this little paradise!....We all had a fabulous week. The ever changing view of the sea and mountains hypnotized us each day. Caught a feast of fish from the canoe - rockfish & salmon. We saw a huge Sea Lion slowly swim by , a sea otter, and porpoise too. The house was perfect -- one of the best we have ever rented. Hope to come back again soon!"
