This lovely property is situated on Mudge Island, which is located in the Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland of BC. The property is a new Westcoast style cottage (completed February 2003). It comprises of 3 bedrooms, den and two bathrooms and is situated on false narrows facing Gabriola Island. This beautiful cedar constructed cottage offers every thing one could wish for a peaceful hide away from the world. Everything for a perfect vacation is included just bring your groceries (there are no stores of any kind on Mudge) and relax.There is a 200 square foot deck set back 60 feet from the seashore and a host of architectural delights. Set on 0.8 acres of land with approximately 300 feet of easily accessible beach front, down a short staircase. The beach is also accessible by shallow draft boat at high tide and is a delight to view and explore at low tide. At low tide there are edible clams, crabs and oysters for the picking and for much of the year sea lions and seals along with eagles and herons can be viewed hunting for fish in false narrows from the deck.
The Cottage will sleep 6 people easily. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and en suite bathroom also there is a crib, booster feeding seats etc. for infants and toddlers. The second bedroom comprises of a queen/ single bunk bed (with extra trundle bed) and the third bedroom is a single/ single bunk bed. The living room and den both have queen size sofa beds. · Bikes- 3 mountain bikes (1 men's, 1 women's, 1 kids),+ 1 trail along bike (4 yrs up to 9 yrs) and a trail along buggy for infants and toddlers (carries 2).
· Complementary use of owners car for travel to and from dock
Included in the price is a weekly maid service for cleaning and linen changing and a water taxi service to and from Gabriola Island - one round trip per visit. We do ask however, that you leave the property is the same tidy condition in which you found it, thank you.BC Ferries reservations are recommended
Bed linens and bath towels provided, guests provide own beach towels.
