This ocean front cottage is situated on a west-facing, sunny south slope 1/2 acre property. It has a 100 foot private low bank pebble beach, a feature unique in the Gulf Islands. The property features several magnificent Cedars, Douglas Firs and an especially beautiful Arbutus. The sunsets are spectacular looking over Swanson Channel to Salt Spring Island and Ganges.
A Safe moorage buoy is provided. Bring your own boat and tie it up at the buoy or use the row boat and lifejackets provided. Adjacent to the property there is a rocky beach and at low tide children and adults alike will enjoy the many unique tidal pools, or you can enjoy great scuba diving in the bay.
The ‘sky-light bright’ cottage is tastefully & comfortably furnished, freshly painted and immaculately clean. There are 5 sliding glass doors from which you can look out at the ocean from every room. From the multi-level ocean side cedar deck, watch seals, otters, bald eagles, kingfishers and killer whales (Orcas). You will often see a deer walking past the cottage throughout the day.
It was designed and equipped as a romantic getaway. This includes a well equipped kitchen and accouterments to enable that special dinner for two or guest dining for up to six people.
The Master Bedroom is equipped with a TV, VHS, DVD player and an enhanced speaker system for the soundtracks. There are many movies at the cottage to watch snuggled in bed with a glass of Champagne. In the event you want company, there is a second bedroom with a double bed, and room for two more on a hide-a-bed in the living room.
The cottage has a good sound system with both indoor and outdoor speakers for that quiet listening to your favorite music while sipping wine in the white Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean.
