This cottage was once known as “Herons House”, a name synonymous with some of the wildlife enjoyed around this property and the island in general, ranging from seals, sea otters, swans, whale sightings, birds of prey, etc.
All of this, and the knowledge that you can retire comfortably in 3000 sq. ft. of quaintly Westcoast house. Clean and tidy, with views of calm serenity all about you; family meals or a romantic evening over a bottle of wine are both complimented beautifully on the deck.
Join in the “Spirit of Salt Spring” and feel free to ‘go green’ with this property; offering composting and recycling, as well as enjoy the eco friendly house, garden, and flower beds.
A short stroll will bring you to more of the “Salt Spring Charm” in Fulford Harbour. Here you can explore some of the local galleries offering some unique artwork, ranging from whimsical to the more eclectic. Perhaps nibble on something from the Morningside Organic Bakery as you explore the harbour. Kayak rentals and fishing charters are amongst some of the adventures to be ha

Whilst those of us with children might well appreciate a chance to leave ‘mother’ at the Spa, while dad takes the little ones on a 20 minute walk to Stowel Lake, a child friendly lake with great swimming or off on a 5 minute drive to Drummond Park for a picnic or just play on yet another beach.Day trips are convenient on the ferry service right in Fulford Harbour allowing for trips to Victoria or another of the Gulf Islands.
On your way back to the house, take advantage of the local pub if your in the spirit, or perhaps just pick something up at the Wine Store, I’m sure your day’s adventures can be relived and enjoyed as you rest and recharge in this 3 bedroom house, or lounge in the open plan main floor, opening out onto the views all the way down to the San Juan Island. With a 4 piece bathroom upstairs complete with a claw foot tub for soaking, this property will leave you feeling refreshed in body and soul.
