The house and cabin are situated just feet from the ocean on 6 private acres of forested land. The property is surro
unded by forest with many trails through the woods to explore. Step out through the patio doors onto 200’ of sandstone beach, immediately in front of the house, with a safe shell beach for children at low tide. Marvel at the colorful starfish, rock crabs and spider crabs. Fish from the rocks, dig for clams or jump from the rocky shelf into the crystal clear waters. Take the canoes and explore along the coastline or watch humming birds, otters and eagles from the deck. Finally slide into the hot tub and relax, gazing out over the ocean or up at the stars.This modern home has vaulted ceilings, double patio doors and large windows, providing magnificent uninterrupted views over the Trincomali channel. The views towards the Porlier Pass, Galiano and Valdez Islands can be enjoyed from the deck, patio, hot tub, living room, and even while preparing a meal in the well equipped kitchen. If the evenings get cool the warm wood burning stove and an ample supply of dry logs, will keep things cozy.

Hot tub [new 2008], natural rocky boat ramp, 2 canoes, 2 adult and 3 children’s life jackets, crab trap.THE CABIN - is on the same 6 acres and approx. 60’ from the main house. There is an open-plan kitchen/living area, with a fridge, electric stove, m/w and it’s own wood burning stove. Separate bedroom with a double bed and a separate bathroom with a shower. An ideal extra bedroom for friends or family, providing additional privacy from the main house.

In the Area:
The Telegraph Harbor Marina houses a small shop and diner, where they sell delicious sandwiches, pizzas, coffee and milkshakes, clothing, maps, gifts etc. open every day from May to October. The Thetis Island Marina pub and restaurant is open througho
ut the year. Next door to the pub is a liquor store, a post-office and shop, selling a variety of goods and groceries. Visit The Pot of Gold Coffee Roasting Company, for the finest and freshest coffee, roasted on the premises. The Telegraph Harbor Inn has an Equestrian Centre, offering excellent riding lessons and training programs. The local Island vineyard has a selection of home made wines, a superb blackberry port and a copper still for the distilling of fruit schnapps and grappa. Marilyn’s Kusina sells the finest meats, bread, cakes, vegetables and home made pies and baked goods…, just leave your money in the honesty box. The nearest town is a 30 minute ferry ride to Chemainus on Vancouver Island. Within walking distance of the ferry terminal in Chemainus is: Mt.Brenton golf course, famous murals, restaurants, theatre and shopping.Rates:

Remarkably quiet and tranquille....we had an amazing time at the Shorehill Cottage! What a beautiful spot! My kids loved it and we saw so much wildlife!
