Only 15 minutes drive from the town of Golden BC and the incredible Kicking Horse skiing resort you will find the stunning location of the Blaeberry Valley. Set in the heart of the Blaeberry nestled between the Rockies, Purcell & Selkirk Mountains sits Bear Paw Lodge.
Bear Paw Lodge is a fully equipped self catering vacation property, furnished to an extremely high standard, which can comfortably sleep 10 people.
An ideal mountain retreat for your Summer or Winter vacation, you can be sure of a very comfortable stay as we have recently carried out extensive renovation, with hardwood floors, newly refurbished kitchen with stainless steel appliances and new décor. The living room is comfortably furnished boasting great views, bedrooms are furnished with all new beds, linens and duvets with a Satellite T.V and DVD in most rooms. The Kitchen and Breakfast Bar will seat 10 people at meal times.
With almost 360º views of the surrounding mountains, Bear Paw Lodge offers incredible tranquility and the unique feeling of living close to nature in the
heart mountains, with the added bonus of being no more than 20 minutes away from some of the best Winter and Summer activity facilities that Canada has to offer. Therefore Bear Paw Lodge offers an ideal base for a wide range of activities including Skiing at Kicking Horse Ski Resort, vast Snowmobiling terrain including local guided tours, Back Country skiing, Helli-Skiing, Snow-Shoeing, Golf, River Rafting, Hand Gliding, ATV Tours, Mountain Biking, Hiking and Horse riding. For those who prefer to spend their vacation at a more gentle pace, Bear Paw Lodge is the ideal location away from any commercialism, with an abundance of wildlife often wandering through the 6 acre grounds and the vast surrounding terrain. A superb base for walking and exploring in the mountains, visiting the Northern Lights Wolf Centre (only 2 minutes away), stopping off for a special coffee at the local coffee shop and store (Rocking horse Cafe & Mercantile), sharing an ale or two with the friendly locals at The Moberly Pub (only 5 minutes drive) or lounging at the end of the day in our 7 person hot-tub looking up at the mountains & stars whilst soaking those aching limbs.
Our friendly house keepers Elaine & Dan who live at the property within a self contained basement unit, will greet you on arrival, and will be happy to help with any queries during your stay. Fresh bathroom towels will be provided twice per week and bed linen changed once per week. Full washing and drying facilities are provided for our guests to use.
Golden is approximately a 3 hour drive from Calgary, heading west on the trans-Canada Hwy 1, or 6 hours East from Vancouver.
