A delightful lakeside getaway in a beautiful setting awaits you at the end of a scenic, 5 minute drive from historic Kaslo, B.C. Spend your morning relaxing on the new wrap-around deck, watching the loons on the crystal clear lake with the mountains and valleys beyond. Play in the water, soak up the sun, then enjoy a marshmallow roast on your own beach [fire restrictions permitting]! There is a whole acre with 450 feet of low-bank lakefront that you can call your own. Adjacent to the beach is a large picnic table and two fire pits. You’ll have a moorage bay that can accommodate your boat(s).
The approx. 1300 sq ft three-bedroom, two-bath house is situated on a point to capture 180-degree views. It sleeps 6. There is also a rustic one-bedroom log cabin, which can accommodate three more people if rented with the house. The cabin has it’s own kitchenette and bathroom. Older children and teenagers often enjoy the privacy of the cabin. Perfect for two smaller families to vacation together.
The country setting is very peaceful and quiet, yet just a few minutes from the small town of Kaslo and its conveniences. There you will find a large grocery store, hospital, visitor information center, gift shops, service stations, bakery, convenience store, restaurants, pubs and a golf course. Another 15 minutes drive south along the lakeshore and you can enjoy a long soak in Ainsworth Hot Springs and Cave. The lake is ideal for boating, fishing and water skiing. If wilderness hiking or mountain biking is for you, you can discover the numerous scenic trails in the area.
This property is 1.5 km from the highway, so you can't hear traffic. The access road is a dead end road that goes to about 4 or 5 properties past this property before it ends, so there isn't much traffic. There is no train in the area and no airport.There is about 450 feet of lakefront including the boat bay, and in addition there is government land for a couple hundred feet on both sides, so there are no immediate neighbours on the lake. This is a very quiet area.
If you have a boat, it can be moored directly on this property in the boat bay (private), which is beside the house to the right of the beach if you look at the house from the water. Boats can be launched at the Kaslo Marina.
The log cabin is about 50 feet to the left of the house, also on the lake. It has access to another beach to the left, not shown in the photos. It is not rented separately, so it is vacant if the party who rents the house does not rent it.
The lake is great for water sports and where this property is located, there is hardly any traffic on it. Guests should be prepared to wear a wetsuit for water skiing if you plan to have prolonged exposure to the water.

Cabin: $400/wk, available in conjunction with rental of house only [up to 3 guests in cabin].
