south-facing West Coast style wooden home has soaring glass windows on all floors that capture stunning views over Garden Bay and Pender Harbour, the area known as the “Venice of the North.” Ample decks on two levels are ideal for relaxing breakfasts or lazy dinners with spectacular sunsets over Georgia Strait. Pender Harbour has been a popular boating destination with our mild climate, beautiful scenery, and spectacular Marine Parks. Pender Harbour has three government wharves, and most resorts and marine pubs have docks. The Princess Louisa Inlet tour has a charm and scenic beauty that no words can adequately describe. Pender Harbour offers some of the best diving in the world - and provides an excellent area for both the experienced and novice diver.
The Sunshine Coast is blessed with easy access to both salt water ocean and fresh water lakes and Harbour Peak Bluff is located within minutes of several salt water marinas. Fish the lakes for trout and Kokanee and sport fishermen can take to the saltwater for 5 species of salmon along with oyster, prawns, and more.There is wood flooring throughout, modern furnishings, a gas fireplace for cosy evenings, and the stylish open plan design and high ceilings provide an airy feel. The home is very new (built in 2001) and has many modern amenities, including 3 bathrooms, and a modern-style fully equipped kitchen. Freshwater swimming in Hotel Lake is conveniently located a few hundred metres along the road for an evening dip, and there are numerous rocky headlands with arbutus trees lining hiking trails, and pebble beaches for young and old to explore. Freshwater swimming is minutes walk away in Hotel Lake, and the charming village of Garden Bay is just down the hill with pub/restaurant, marinas and related services, and a small general store/post office. This area of the Sunshine Coast is a paradise for outdoor recreation, with hiking trails, mountain biking, pony riding, golf, and all manner of boating/kayaking opportunities including rentals. There is a sand beach minutes away at Katherine Lake Regional Park, and several provincial parks within a few minutes drive including Garden Bay, Francis Peninsular, and the exciting tidal rapids of Skookumchuck Narrows. Shopping: Grocery store and post office at Garden Bay, 10 minutes away along local lanes and trails. Full range of stores including a supermarket at Madeira Park (15 minutes away by car)Rates:
