is is a charming, 2 BR lake view cottage steps from the beach. It sleeps 5, a queen bed and two singles make up the current sleeping arrangement as well as a pull out bed in the living space. A private roof top deck, with a covered area and propane BBQ makes for a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. There is plenty of parking across the street. Cultus Lake is 1 block from cottage. Cultus Lake is a popular recreational lake that is located in B.C.'s Cultus Lake Provincial Park, 13 km. south of the city of Chilliwack, BC. The road is paved and is in steady use by local residents as well as those from around the Fraser Valley.
Cultus Lake is located 20 kms. off of Hwy.1, an hour east of Vancouver, BC, and 21/2 hours NE of Seattle, Washington.
Cultus Lake: Low rolling forested hills surround the Lake. Private and summer residences, resorts and campsites are within sight of the lake. Gentle sloping, sandy beaches surround most of this highly popular lake. The large number of small coves and little streams provide numerous areas for exploring and fishing.
Cultus Lake is a lovely getaway for all ages, children's playgrounds, waterslides, horse back riding, mini golf, an 18 hole golf course, and restaurants are all within a short walk. Fish off one of the numerous piers, relax on the beach or rent a boat and go skiing. Some of the best hiking in the province is within a short distance. The Veddar River, well known as a fishing destination is just a few minutes away. Due to the increasing use of Cultus Lake for other recreational activities, fishing pressure has dropped in recent years. Trout can reach over 3 lbs. with trolling and fly fishing being the most successfully used methods. Cultus Lake has an great spawning area and stocking was last done in 1987. The average depth of the lake is about 105 feet with its deepest bit being 137 feet. The fish known to be in the lake are: Rainbow trout, Cutthroat, Natural Steelhead, Whitefish, Dolly Varden, Coho and Sockeye Salmon.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the herbs from the herb garden.
