his beautiful architecturally renovated cottage has southwestern exposure and is located on a one acre, highbank property overlooking Georgia Strait. There are spectacular views to Vancouver Island from most rooms and there is a fully landscaped 1/2 acre country cottage garden with lawns for badminton, bocce and croquet. Casual or gourmet cooks will love the well-equipped and completely modern kitchen.The spacious (approx. 2400 sq. ft.) cottage is elegantly furnished in a country style with hardwood floors and persian carpets. Find a comfy chair and read some of the many modern or classic books that are to be found on the well-stocked bookshelves around the cottage - or choose to spend lazy days and evenings on the large 10’ x 40’ southfacing deck which is perfect for dining, relaxing and sunbathing. A long, steep wooden staircase
with railings, provides access to the rock and pebble beach below. Gibsons known as the “Gateway to the Sunshine Coast,” is located on the west shore of Howe Sound, a scenic 40-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay. While just 32 km from Vancouver, Gibsons is a world away in atmosphere, with a fresh-air, small-town ambiance. Guests can take advantage of the temperate climate and natural vistas to enjoy the beaches, parks, cafes, markets and outdoor recreation for which the area is justly famed.
The waters around Gibsons are a kayaker’s and sailor’s dream come true. Miles of protected waterways feature clusters of islands, numerous channels and sheltered inlets – all against a backdrop of majestic BC mountains.
The Sunshine Coast have more artists, crafters and artisans per capita than almost any other area in Canada. Visitors can take guided tours of art galleries and studios, where it is possible to watch painters, potters, sculptors, woodworkers, fibre artists and Aboriginal artists at fashioning their craft.
