If you are a fan of steam powered model railways or early westcoast Canadian architecture, then perhaps this suite might be of interest to you.Located in pretty Queen's Park Heritage District, this suite offers a unique opportunity for those in the model railway world to experience a live steam "O" Gauge or Gauge One [G Scale] garden railway. The owner of which is only ever too happy to "steam-up" and display for you a range of models from very early pre-war O-Gauge steamers, to his latest creation in Gauge One.
So if names like Aster or Bassett-Lowke tickle your fancy, then by all means bring your own engines for a run while you stay.
Perhaps "Mrs. Train Enthusiast" might enjoy a walk around the delightful neighbourhood featuring many heritage homes of varied architectural design and offering only that available to a mature landscape. Rangi
ng from 1880's statuesque Queen Ann homes with towering roof lines to gingerbready style cottages tucked in unexpected corners. Queen's Park has a couple of days worth of exploring available for those interested. If a tour of the inside of a selection of these homes is your thing, then perhaps the Annual Heritage Home Tour might be of interest, this event is usually held in May. Also within a 10-15 minute walk, are Queen's Park itself with its sports arenas and formal Rose Garden, etc., Moody Park Arena, and lots of shopping. If you have any questions about this property, please contact us.
