A lush garden with fruit trees and a beachside fire-pit, are only some of the special features of this enjoyable family beach house. This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, oceanfront property, is newly renovated, on half an acre, north of Comox. You will find everything you need for a great holiday, as the area has activities for everyone. These activities, and the view across the Straights of Georgia to the coastal mountains of mainland British Columbia, have helped make many special memories for those that have stayed here. Go beachcombing just outside your door, or enjoy hiking, biking or picnics in nearby Seal Bay or Miracle Beach Provincial Parks. Golf at any of the nearby courses, or go salmon fishing, sailing or kayaking. Take a day trip on a ferry to one of the nearby islands, drive to Comox lake, or shop, dine out, or attend festivals in Comox or Courtenay. In winter, it is an easy 40 minute drive for skiing at Mt.Washington.
Create special family meals with the gas barbeque on the sundeck. Dig clams on your very own beach, or buy a salmon from a fishing boat at the Comox Marina. Make a trip to the farmer’s market for a bottle of BC wine, local cheese and vegetables. Complete the feast with a loaf of fresh sourdough bread from the corner store. Then, as the setting sun lights up the mountains, stroll down the winding path to the lower garden and the beach to use the fire-pit for an evening campfire and marshmallow roast. On lazy or rainy days, help yourself to the books, games and puzzles; or just drink coffee and watch for seals, herons, whales and eagles outside your window.Finally, you can finish every day in front of the fireplace, enjoying the warmth of the antique pine floors and the cozy kitchen and family room. Keep watch for brightly lit cruise ships sailing past on their way to Alaska as your prepare for a restful sleep in this charming waterfront beach house.

Facilities:
The property boasts a new, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, fridge, stove, drip coffee maker and an espresso machine. There are three newly decorated and furnished bedrooms each with a queen size bed, and two full bathrooms. The living area has a fireplace, a TV [no cable] but a DVD player and a CD player, & stereo, there is a telephone at this property as well. There is a selection of movies for your enjoyment. The deck off the back of the house has outdoor furniture, a great view and a gas barbeque. There is a patio with a fire pit and deckchairs down in the lower garden next to the beach for campfires and marshmallow roasts.Sleeping:
3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed; and a den with a hideabed. Linens are provided but please bring your own beach towels.Other Amenities:
Lots of books, board games, puzzles and DVD movies are provided. There are marshmallow roasting sticks and tools for digging and messing around down on the beach.
In the Area:
Getting here is easy. The Comox airport is 15 minutes from the house and is serviced by regular direct flights from most major western Canadian cities. Comox and Courtenay, the major centres in the Comox valley, have many great restaurants, coffee shops, markets, shops, movie theatres, parks and festivals. Both towns are only 15 minutes from the beach house. You can enjoy golf, fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, shopping, eating out, festivals and theatres; a detailed directory of where to go and what to do is provided at the house for your use and information.
