The 'Beach House' is a beautiful west coast house located on a safe walk-on beach at Bowser, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The 2000 sq. ft. cedar house [built in 1986] has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, including one ensuite. The house is on a private 1/2 acre treed lot with 100 feet of waterfront that provides breathtaking 180 degree views of Georgia Strait, including Mt. Baker, Hornby, Denman, Lasqueti & Texada Islands. Enjoy sunrises, sunsets, bird and sea life watching and endless recreational opportunities, all from your quiet, private beach house.
This house has all the comforts of home including: a fully equipped kitchen, TV, DVD, CD stereo, internet access, linens, large deck with outdoor furniture, quiet sleeping rooms, solarium, all tastefully decorated. There is a beautiful garden that can also be enjoyed or even worked in...!
Local activities include: swimming, surfing, fly fishing, storm watching, golfing, beachcombing, mountain biking, spelunking, fresh water lakes, skiing and more. It is a cobblestone beach with a very narrow strip of sand (above tide line) dividing lawn from rock. You can swim there but you need water shoes. There is a sandy beach less than a mile south of us (Qualicum Bay) and a vast sandy beach 15 minutes south in Qualicum Beach.Local attractions include 3 golf courses, Hornby and Denman Islands, Horne Lake Caves, Deep Bay Marina, Coombs and access to Tofino. Local amenities include grocery store, liquore agency, post office, restaurants, pub, hardware store, library, video store and gas station.
You'll find peace and relaxation at this beautiful, sunny getaway spot - you probably won't want to leave!

2 bedrooms with a 3rd sleeping area, 3 bathrooms [one with toilet, sink & shower, one 2 piece bathroom, one full bathroom is an ensuite], 25'x15' living room with fireplace, separate dining area, full kitchen with electric stove and fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, TV, DVD, CD player, stereo, radio, telephone, internet connection [bring own laptop], gas barbecue, forced air furnace and gas fireplace in kitchen
Sleeping:
2 bedrooms + sleeping area: 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed; 1 bedroom with 1 queen sized bed and 3rd sleeping area is the TV room with 2 single beds and a sofa bed and room for a foamy.Other Amenities:
outdoor patio table with 6 chairs and umbrella; 8' rowboat with life jackets [2 adults/2 child], crib, high chair, toys, child's swing, ocean toys, board games

golf; tennis 1 mile away, Mt. Washington is 47 minutes drive; Tofino is 2 hours drive; Hornby Island ferry is 15 minutes away; fishing on the beach [pinks, coho - ensure you have a valid fishing license]; surfing in front of property [best in winter months]; Courtenay is 30 minutes drive and Nanaimo is 45 minutes drive, south; grocery store is 1 mile; drug store is 20 minutes away in Qualicum; there are a couple of local churches; medical care is 30 minutes north; restaurants / pubs are 1 mile away as well as gas station, liquor store and video storeThere is also a public swimming pool 20 minutes away in Qualicum Beach; Long Beach surfing is a 2 hour drive
