Vancouver Island, Comox Vacation Rental

Enjoy the countless recreational activities (sailing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, tennis, hiking, etc.) of the Comox Valley from the comfort of this spacious 2500 sq. ft. home located on 1.25 acres at the tip of Cape Lazo, just 8 kms. from Comox. Its two level, post and beam design with natural cedar ceilings creates a warm ambiance for the whole family to enjoy. On the main floor continuous window space provides panoramic views of Georgia Strait, its many islands and the magnificent snowcapped mountain ranges of Vancouver Island and the Mainland.

Sip your morning coffee whilst basking in the soft sunlight on the deck overlooking the beach below and delight in the abundant marine life: eagles, herons, sea lions and the occasional pod of whales. From the deck follow a private path that gently winds down the vegetated slope to a secluded, sandy beach where one can swim or walk for miles.

Stretch out under the fruit trees in the spacious and private back yard often frequented by deer and a roving pheasant, or get some exercise playing croquet, bocce and shooting hoops. Relax with a book in one of the Adirondack chairs on the deck while being entertained by a variety of birdlife flitting among the branches of the Garry oak trees or frolicking in the birdbath.

As the moon rises over the water and the cruise ships bound for Alaska create an amazing array of floating lights, settle in on the front deck overlooking the beach for some stargazing as you contemplate another fun filled day in paradise! or relax at the end of the day in the hot tub under the trellis of wisteria in the back garden while enjoying the privacy afforded by the tall evergreens that block all view of the house from the road.

Sleeping:

3 bedrooms, master with king, 1 with double bed, 1 on lower level with a queen bed and a double hideabed

In the Area:

Comox, 8 kms.; boat launch, less than 1/2 km.; bird sanctuary, within walking distance; Mt. Washington ski area, 45 mins. A nearby military base has occasional training activities which are often interesting

July/August and Christmas/New Years: $1600/wk. (1-6 people)
 $100/person/wk. over 6 people

The views, the ice hockey on the big screen, the young ones with their own space has been a great experience....I just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed my week in Comox 2-D-1 in July/Aug. What an absolutely fantastic location and a really comfortable house. I loved the decks, the views, and the master suite. My teenagers loved the huge TV, and we all loved the hot tub and the beach!! I truly did not want to leave once my week was up. Thank you for offering such a wonderful property.... a great family location - we were pleasantly surprised to find Comox, Kye Bay Beach and surrounding area quite beautiful and peaceful...the beach below the house is very private & wonderful - we'll come here again for an enjoyable & peaceful vacation with lots of activities nearby...we loved the house..."
